I've always found pieces of myself in the sky.
When I painted Heavy with Life, I wasn't trying to paint a storm. I was painting that moment when life feels heavy, yet somewhere deep inside we sense that things are about to change.
This contemporary abstract painting explores the weight and movement of layered clouds, with shifting blues, whites and atmospheric tones creating depth and an expansive sky. I paint with layers of texture because life is layered too. As the light changes, new colours and details appear, allowing the painting to reveal itself differently each time you look.
For me, this is a painting about hope that arrives before certainty. Even when we cannot yet see the answer, the light has already begun its journey.
I hope someone will live with this original artwork and, on the days when life feels heavy, remember that every storm carries the possibility of renewal.
