This piece was inspired by the theme of icons from the 50s. A client had asked my if I only painted portraits during the previous exhibition and it got me thinking, how can i capture the spirit of a thing instead of a person. The classic car paintings aimed to do just that...capture the soul of the car and the style of an era.
