Claudio Del Pup - Durik As many people, I was born in 1955, Son of Italians emigrants in a country with a balcony to the River Plate. Uruguay, placed at the south of the Equator line, country open to new opportunities from a post II-war European perspective, was tying my destiny. The National School of Fine Arts was not only a path of university education, but also a school of life. The libertarian ideas combined with the ferment of his educational proposal revived the hope that another world is possible. Trapped more by the academic and teaching than by the galleries and exhibitions, I have developed during this last time, a series of research on new media, nuanced with presentations and exchanges on education and the use of computers as expressive tools. I live in the midst of contradiction, of opposites that are attracted. The latest generation of Computer Technology, the easel of a painter and my digital camera, the cold efficiency of the business world and the sleepy bohemian Fine Arts, my feeling of belonging to the land where I was born and my roots in the Italian Friúli.
