MARCEL RAMET MARCO VALGRESY Creator-multidisciplinary artist Marcel Ramet, multidisciplinary artist, was born on Reunion Island in1961. He has been creating, painting and composing artistic creations for more than 25 years that are disseminated through various professional projects, using traditional and digital tools. In 1996, when he had just left the Toulouse region, he did a training course in traditional cartoon animation, at the only Reunion School "Village Titan". Surrounded by professionals from schools such as CFT Gobelins, Spielberg studios, Disney France, La Fabrique and Ellipse Animation, is where he made his best weapons. Already at the end of 1997, he distinguished himself by an excellent skill in traditional animation by working on several advertising projects. He was then led to develop his creative talent by making several works in acrylic. In January 1999, he left Reunion Island to work in Paris, alongside Serge Ellisalde, on the tv series project " The pirate family ". After a short period at Ellipse Animation, he decided to leave France for Quebec. It is here in Montreal that he gained experience and recognition for his artistic talent. In fact, he is most notable for his ability to give life to the characters that he touched from near or far, and this, on various productions. In 1999, when he had just arrived in Quebec, he was hired as assistant director on the animated film project aired by Télé Québec " The Little Match Girl ". He continued as a storyboard artist on the TV series Turtle Island. It was then in 2000, that he was spotted by the Quebec director Raymond Lebrun, who hired him to work on the animated co-production, the Marsupilami. Two years later, with his experience in Quebec, he began teaching and obtained a contract at the institute ICARI. In 2002 he did a short skip with the Cégep de bois de Boulogne, then in 2004 at the institut Grasset, where he participated actively in the implementation of the first virtual creation training with Maya software. He taught at the "Institut Grasset" until 2005. In the fall of 2007, he began teaching life drawing with models at "La Cité collégiale" in Ottawa. In winter 2013, he signed a contract with the "Cégep de Matane" as a lecturer for the 3 D animation department, where he taught until June 2015. During this period, he was also asked to teach in turn, with the department of photography, arts and letters, giving him an extra experience. More recently, he did character development for PVP productions Matane, followed by a contract as background designer on several projects for the Montreal studio, K6 Animations. In addition, what must be mentioned are all the other contracts for illustrations as well as the eight years of service at the "Centre Communautaire de Loisir De La Côte-Des-Neiges" in Montreal, where he was the initiator of the computer-based digital creation course. He is currently employed by Innovation Maritime a well know company in Rimouski, Qc; like 3d modeler. In fact, Most of his free time, he looks forward to creating astonish painting.
