I begin my systematic art studies under the supervision of veteran painter and art teacher Lional Ranaweera in Children Art Foundation at Ananda College – and National Art Foundation in Colombo. After the completing a seven-year course in painting I worked part time as an art instructor of National Child Art Foundation. In 2001 and 2004, I got the opportunities to visited world’s largest and most famous art museums in countries such as France, Germany and Australia. In 2004, I wrote and published a book in Sinhala language: Chithra Kala Shilpa krama, which has developed artistic aspect and technical guidance for art students. I am also a B.A. (Special degree in Political Science) graduate from the 'University of Colombo', Sri Lanka.
